Welcome to my page, earthmom.me!
I created this Blog to share my passion for gardening and cooking with a farm to table approach. I will also include various crafts or projects that I think are interesting.
My son lovingly gave me this beautiful name when he was five. Started as a cute story when he told his teacher at school that he was an “Earth Boy” when asked about ethnicity (so wonderful), but told me I was really an “Earth Mom” for all that I do and teach him. My sons and I were always outside discovering nature, doing science experiments, playing in the dirt, as young men today they still disappear in the forest and enjoy all nature has to offer. Gardening has been part of my life for my entire life, and has evolved with time. Learning hands-on from my elder family members as a child, going through the Rutgers Master Gardening Program, creating all types of flower gardens, managing a hobby farm, growing mushrooms, and being a Certified American Tree Farmer. As a scientist I am constantly researching and searching ways to live healthy, organically, and do right by nature. Growing everything; vegetables, fruit, flowers, and mushrooms for my family has excelled my cooking to extreme levels that only makes me want to top myself. Never letting anything go to waste and being resourceful I have a use or flip for almost everything. Conversations come up wherever I am about gardening, cooking, nutrition and many have stated how do you know so much, you should write a book or a blog. My passion is to teach others all I have learned through the many years, through this page I would like to share my knowledge of gardening, cooking, nature, and projects with you.
